Exmoor Trim Limited wins Tithonus Project Contract

exmoor-trim-landrover-1.jpgExmoor Trim Limited is delighted to announce that they have been appointed the seat and interior trim supplier for the Tithonus project by ABRO. (soon to become the Defence Support Group – DSG) The contract will run for two years starting in March 2008, and will see up to 100 Land Rover Defender vehicles being up graded every month. Having successfully fulfilled the requirements of ABRO during the interim framework agreement which has seen 460 vehicles up graded between September 2007 and February 2008 Exmoor Trim demonstrated its commitment and competitiveness to support the Tithonus Project.

Exmoor Trim will be supplying front drivers/passengers seats along with rear bench seats, front acoustic/anti vibration matting and rear load area matting. Seat trim will feature Outlast Black Canvas fabric; the adaptive comfort material which greatly reduces sweating and chilling, whilst offering improved durability/serviceability, particularly over current vinyl fabrics which have not performed well in operational areas. Outlast Canvas automotive trim fabrics have been developed for military applications and approved by the UK MOD. The current range includes Black, Olive and Sand.

Exmoor Trim is experiencing growth in all business sectors and has doubled the size of the production area to enable manufacturing to meet these increased demands. The company has also introduced a secure development area for military customers, and extra staff to support additional throughput.

Products manufactured and stocked at the Williton facility include seating, hoods and vehicle covers along with interior trim items, such as floor mats and door trims. These are distributed around the globe to our customers, as Exmoor Trim is a major supplier to the Land Rover after market with an unrivalled reputation for quality and service.

Exmoor Trim is confident that its in-house design and manufacturing facilities will secure many more major contracts during 2008 on a wide range of vehicles ranging from SUV to armoured, with its ability to offer lifetime in-service support, along with cost effective solutions to projects such as FRES. Vehicle seating solutions include Drivers, Commanders and Crew designed for durability, serviceability and functionality. Options include Extreme Environment Mesh and Ballista-Tek  which offers protection from both small arms fire and blast.
