The UK's Telegraph newspaper has just posted a quick review of the very first Land Rover (HUE 166) in commemoration of the marque's 60th anniversary. The original (LR1 chassis) Landie was tested on the coast of Angelsey, which is where the idea for the first Land Rover was concieved 60 years ago. Land Rover's been meeting there frequently for press shots and that’s also where the 60th anniversary Defender SVX was spotted just a few posts down. You can read the entire article at the LINK

UPDATE: Kevin Hackett who wrote the Telegraph article also did a similar review recently for European Car Magazine with the original Series I and the new Range Rover Supercharged that you can read at the LINK
