UK: Classic Landy for Charity Auction!

Tim Battley of the British 4x4 Centre recently contacted us to let all our readers know that this classic Land Rover is to be auctioned for charity. It's been fully restored to showroom condition including a galvanized chassis as well as other remanufactured components such as the heavy duty bulkhead, doors, grille and panel assemblies.
In addition, the brakes have been upgraded and the remanufactured engine now runs on unleaded fuel. The entire restoration cost well over £22,000 and was built as a showpiece to demonstrate the high standard of craftsmanship that they offer.
The Landy will be auctioned at the Charity Theme Ball & Fund Raiser at the Holiday Inn located in Peterborough on November 7th, 2008. Proceeds will go to The Connor Wright Schwachman-Diamond Support Project in association with Great Ormond Street Children's Charity No. GOSHCC235825.
Tickets are priced at £10.00 per book or £2.00 per ticket available at Country Workshops in Risegate, Nr Spalding, Lincolnshire PE11 4EZ.
