Range Stormer for sale!

Last year we told you about the Range Rover Sport based Range Stormer 2-door that West Coast Customs built for a member of the Royal family of Dubai, which was also featured in the Street Customs television show on the Discovery Channel. It looks as though West Coast Custom's new Dubai facility is now building a few more of these Stormers for wealthy clients there. This white Stormer is currently owned by a Dubai Car Dealer and is listed on AutoTrader Dubai for a price of 1,650,000 AED. We're not sure how this translates into US dollars or British pounds but it's gotta be a large amount. You can view more photos at AutoTrader Dubai and read more about the first West Coast Customs Range Stormer that was built for the Dubai Royal Family, which was also featured in the Robb Report last year at the LINK

The Hamster and his modified D110!
Richard Hammond a.k.a. the Hamster from BBC's TopGear Magazine and Television Show has always been a big Land Rover fan. Eight years ago he set out to build the Defender of his dreams. He's finally content with the monster he's created and one look at the specs listed will tell you this was no small feat. It's powered by a 4.5 liter V8 from JE Engineering and has a 4-inch lift, internal rollcage from QT Services, rear axle from a Discovery for rear disc brakes and the list goes on and on. We're hoping this vehicle makes an appearance on TopGear when the next series begins in August. But until then you can read all about the Hamsters custom Land Rover at the LINK

UK's Telegraph newspaper reviews the very first Land Rover!
The UK's Telegraph newspaper has just posted a quick review of the very first Land Rover (HUE 166) in commemoration of the marque's 60th anniversary. The original (LR1 chassis) Landie was tested on the coast of Angelsey, which is where the idea for the first Land Rover was concieved 60 years ago. Land Rover's been meeting there frequently for press shots and that’s also where the 60th anniversary Defender SVX was spotted just a few posts down. You can read the entire article at the LINK
UPDATE: Kevin Hackett who wrote the Telegraph article also did a similar review recently for European Car Magazine with the original Series I and the new Range Rover Supercharged that you can read at the LINK

Apparently Land Rover was at Rhosneigr Beach in Angelsey, North Wales UK recently to snap some publicity photos of the new 60th Anniversary Defender 90 SVX, which doesn't officially go on sale until this summer. A couple of guys who were on site as part of the cleaning vehicle crew, who were Land Rover enthusiasts, grabbed their camera phone and shot a couple of short videos from behind the wheel of the SVX. Both videos are less than a minute long.
